Cindy Knutson-Lycholat, CGR, CAPS, CR owner of Knutson Bros. II was recently awarded the prestigious Remodeler of the Year by the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) for her years of dedication to the remodeling industry. According to Therese Crahan, Excecutve Director at NAHB, one award is given out each year by their organization, and the NAHB was proud to award Knutson-Lycholat this prestigious award for 2006.

“The applicant is judged on many things, including business acumen, business longevity, service to the industry, community involvement and customer satisfaction,” said Crahan. “You must be spectacular to get the award.”

“Our entire company is honored to receive this award,” said Knutson-Lycholat. “One of our personal goals is to raise the level of professionalism in the remodeling industry to help dispel the perception that remodelers must be viewed with caution. This award recognizes that we have made progress towards this goal.”

According to Bob Gibson of Verhalen, Inc., a vendor that Knutson Bros. II has worked with for many years, it is no surprise that Knutson-Lycholat was awarded this prestigious, national award.

“Being able to understand the customer really sets Knutson Bros (II) apart from others,” says Gibson. “They are different than other design/build remodelers because of their professional, non-intimidating approach with vendors and customers. They really eliminate the stress and fear of remodeling because they lay out a plan and they stick to it every time.” (January 2007)
