The WBA Builder of the Year is one of the highest honors a builder member can attain. A panel of past winners evaluates each candidate’s professionalism and their level of activity within WBA, the National Home Builders Association, and their local association. Since 1967, WBA has awarded only one other female into this select group of 41 members who have shown a long and ongoing commitment to the home building industry in Wisconsin.

Knutson-Lycholat has operated Knutson Brothers II, LLC since 1994, and has over 31 years of experience in the building industry. Knutson-Lycholat is an active member in the Lakeland Builders Association, having served as their president and as a WBA Board Director since 1999. She is also involved on the national level having served as the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) Remodelers Council Trustee, Certified Aging in Place Board of Governors and the Remodeler 20 Peer Group.

Knutson-Lycholat was awarded the NAHB Remodeler of the Year in 2007, and served as a National Director for over ten years. Knutson-Lycholat has demonstrated her commitment to learning the best and latest in building practices by earning professional designations from NAHB including Certified Graduate Remodeler, and Certified Aging in Place Specialist.
